In 12 years we have served over 25,000 patients.
Originally founded as a joint venture between individual physicians and Georgia Baptist Medical Center in 1997, the Center (then named the Surgery Center at Mt. Zion) was acquired by Southern Regional Medical Center as a hospital and physician joint venture in 2000. Since 2000, the Center has aggressively grown to perform over 5000 outpatient surgical cases per year. We have seven specialties: Otolaryngology, Pain Management, Podiatry
, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Urology and
Gynecology.
Not only do we perform more than 5,000 procedures each year, we are also one of the top pain management providers in the Southern Arc attending over 2,000 cases each year.
The Center's expansion has been fast and furious, and in 2009, we moved from our location in Morrow, Ga., to a new 25,000-square-foot facility at Spivey Station in Jonesboro, Ga. With the move, came a new name - Spivey Station Surgery Center. We couldn’t have done it without the support of our physician owners or Southern Regional Health System.
From day one, Southern Regional Health System has been financially invested as general partner for the center’s operations, physicians and healthcare initiatives. Southern Regional is dedicated to true collaboration with physicians for the purpose of improving healthcare by providing unparalleled services to patients.
