As our community grew and evolved, so did our facility needs.
In 2009, the Surgery Center at Mt. Zion moved from its Morrow, Ga, location to a new building at Spivey Station in Jonesboro, Ga. With the move came the new name - Spivey Station Surgery Center. The new location increases patient convenience and allows for expansion in technological capabilities. It includes 25,000 square feet and many amenities not offered anywhere else in the Southern Crescent, including an Internet café, special soundproof recovery rooms, a point-of-care medication dispensing system which allows patients to fill prescriptions before discharge, operating room with telesurgery capabilities, self-warming patient gowns, a patient dining area, a kid’s only waiting area and more. The Center is the first of its kind in the Southern Crescent from building design to healthcare delivery.
We are excited to pioneer development of a healthcare facility that will exceed all expectations of what a “surgery center” is and embrace our philosophy and goal of transforming healthcare.
