Spivey Station Surgery Center Welcomes
Twenty-Three New Physicians

ATLANTA (Aug. 7, 2009) – Spivey Station Surgery Center (SSSC), formally the Surgery Center at Mt. Zion and provider of outpatient surgery services and pain management care in the Southern Crescent since 1997, recently experienced unprecedented growth, adding 23 new credentialed physicians. The physicians come from five existing SSSC partner practice groups and 10 new practice groups.

The recently credentialed physicians bring with them added expertise in the fields of Interventional Radiology, GI, Plastic Surgery, Anesthesia and Pediatric Anesthesia.

With this latest addition to the medical staff and the recent relocation to Spivey Station in Jonesboro, Ga., the Surgery Center is now able to accommodate even more outpatient opportunities. At the new location, with its top-of-the-line technology and patient-friendly amenities, the Surgery Center offers unparalled outpatient services to the growing Southern Crescent community.

The new facility at Spivey Station includes 25,000 square feet and many amenities not offered anywhere else in the Southern Crescent, including an Internet café, special children’s soundproof recovery rooms, an operating room with telesurgery capabilities, a point-of-care dispensing system that allows patients to fill prescriptions before discharge, self -warming patient gowns, a patient dining area, a kid’s only waiting area and more.
