News & Events: The Surgery Center.. The Surgery Center at Mt. Zion Welcomes Orthopaedic Surgeon   ATLANTA (October 27, 2008) – The Surgery Center at Mt. Zion, providing outpatient surgery services and pain management care in Atlanta since 1997, is pleased to announce Dr. Gregory H. Lee as the most recent addition to the Center’s credentialed staff.   Dr. Lee’s association with the Center took effect as of Sept. 11, 2008. Since August 2008, Dr. Lee has worked at Atlanta Knee and Shoulder Clinic, serving patients in the Atlanta area. His areas of special interest include sports medicine and orthopaedic surgery.  After receiving his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School, Dr. Lee completed both his surgical internship and residency at Rush University Medical Center. He received his fellowship in sports medicine at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic where he helped care for the majority of Los Angeles’ professional sports teams. Dr. Lee is board eligible by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. With this latest addition to the medical staff, the Surgery Center is now able to accommodate even more outpatient opportunities for our Southern Crescent community and is right on track for expansion at the new facility in 2009. The relocation from Morrow to Spivey Station, a 90-acre medical campus now under development in Jonesboro, will bring unparalleled outpatient service to the Southern Crescent.   The new facility will include 25,000 square feet, operating rooms with telesurgery capability, a patient waiting area with business office tools and Internet café, and the ability to fill prescriptions prior to discharge. This will be the first time many of these amenities are offered in the Southern Crescent.   With the move to Spivey Station in 2009, the Center will take a new name - Spivey Station Surgery Center.   About The Surgery Center at Mt.
