News & Events: The Surgery Center.. The Surgery Center at Mt. Zion Welcomes Ear, Nose and Throat Physician   ATLANTA (September 17, 2008) – The Surgery Center at Mt. Zion, providing outpatient surgery services and pain management care in Atlanta since 1997, is pleased to announce Dr. Paul E. Free as the most recent addition to the Center’s credentialed staff.   Dr. Free’s association with the Center took effect as of September 1, 2008. Since 2000, Dr. Free has worked in private practice, and he recently joined the staff at ENT of Georgia in August, serving patients in Riverdale, Stockbridge and Fayetteville. His areas of special interest include nasal and sinus disorders, allergy, sleep apnea, thyroid surgery and general otolaryngology. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Dr. Free completed both his surgical internship and residency at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Free is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. With this latest addition to the medical staff, the Surgery Center is now able to accommodate even more outpatient opportunities for our Southern Crescent community and is right on track for expansion at the new facility in 2009. The relocation from Morrow, Ga. to Spivey Station, a 90-acre medical campus now under development, will bring unparalleled outpatient service to the Southern Crescent.   The new facility will include 25,000 square feet, operating rooms with telesurgery capability, a patient waiting area with business office tools and Internet café, and the ability to fill prescriptions prior to discharge. This will be the first time many of these amenities are offered in the Southern Crescent.    With the move to Spivey Station in 2009, the Center will take a new name - Spivey Station Surgery Center.   About The Surgery Center at Mt.
